Antonio Guerrieri, Ph.D., is currently serving as a researcher at ICAR-CNR (National Research Council of Italy, Institute for High-Performance Computing and Networking), Italy.
He earned a Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Calabria (UNICAL), Italy, in 2012. Previously, he was a researcher at the Telecom Italia WSN Lab at Berkeley, California, and at the Clarity Centre, UCD (University College Dublin), Ireland. He has been involved in several research projects and is co-founder of SenSysCal S.r.l., a UNICAL spinoff focused on innovative IoT systems. His research interests include wireless sensor and actuator networks, building monitoring and control, smart and cognitive environments, smart objects, Internet of Things. He is the co-author of over 100 papers in international journals, conferences, and books. He is associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems and an editorial board member of IoT, Cybersecurity and Privacy, Engineering Proceedings, Sensors, and Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing journals. He is an Adjunct Professor at the DIMES department of the University of Calabria and has the Italian ASN (Scientific National Habilitation) for Associate Professor since 2018.
